We’re excited to share a new opportunity for funding projects that help keep our communities and the Great Lakes healthy! Projects can take place in a variety of community spaces, such as: This is a great chance to bring creative ideas to life—whether it’s greening a schoolyard, transforming land into a pollinator-friendly space, or improving stormwater management in your neighborhood. Cities, states, Tribes, nonprofit organizations, houses of worship, educational institutions, school districts, soil and water conservation districts, land trusts, and other eligible entities that represent Great Lakes communities can apply directly to the Southern Lake Michigan Community Partnerships Grant Program (CPGP). We strongly encourage locally serving organizations to be part of any project team. Projects must advance at least one Great Lakes Restoration Initiative goal, such as restoring habitats, reducing stormwater runoff, or controlling invasive species. Letters of Interest (LOIs) are now open! Learn more and apply here: Website Want to learn more? We’re hosting two in-person workshops to walk through the grant details and application process:
