Illinois' environmental movement will gather at the State Capitol to meet with State House Representatives and push for key environmental priorities, including the Polystyrene Foam Foodware Ban, which will make Illinois the 11th state to ban foam foodware, the POWER Act, which will protect our water, energy, and communities from data center impacts, and the Wetlands Protection Act, which would enact state-level wetlands protections!

Illinois Environmental Council is excited to host a rally as part of the day's events! Feel free to bring a rally sign, but please ensure it's not affixed to a stick and doesn't have sharp edges to keep folks safe. You will soon receive more information on getting connected to a "Lobby Captain" who will guide you and your neighbors from your district throughout the Lobby Day. **Due to the small scale of this lobby day, we will offer a limited number of buses and bus pick up locations may be cancelled if not enough people register for that location. If you a select a bus pick up location that is later cancelled, we will let you know in advance and do our best to connect you to an alternate form of transportation. See the Environmental Lobby Days 2026: Recruitment Toolkit Register for the April 8 Lobby Day here
