The Geospatial Energy Mapper (GEM) is a comprehensive online mapping tool that helps identify areas suitable for low- or no-carbon power generation and other energy-related projects. GEM provides:

  • Interactive mapping and analysis tools for energy planning across the U.S. and its territories.

  • A large repository of mapping data that can be viewed or downloaded.

  • Modeling capabilities to identifyoptimal locations for renewable energy and other energy-related technologies.
