Hello fellow Mighty Acorns partners! Since we have this web forum, I'd figure I would take advantage of it and use it! I had an idea that I was considering introducing in the spring for the Mighty Acorns groups that host at Sand Ridge Nature Center. For groups that choose to eat their lunch at our picnic facility, I was proposing a "trash-free" lunch competition. My idea was that for any trash that kids need to throw away during their lunch, I could collect it in a garbage bag and weigh it after their lunch. The class with the lowest amount of garbage would win the competition and would receive a certificate in the mail or some other prize. Of course, items placed in recycling would not be counted against them. What do you all think of this idea? Has anyone tried anything similar?

Thank you,
