Working toward allyship training
Presented by Rena Payan,
Youth Outside

As bell hooks notes "Love is an action. Never Simply a feeling.''

The same is true for allyship, it is never simply a title, but a series of actions and decisions that we must make. What does it mean to be an ally in the outdoor recreation profession? This training provides an overview of key concepts and a place for those seeking to grow their understanding of allyship, solidarity, and co-conspiratorship. We hope that you will join us to discuss how to better support Black, Indigenous, and people of color in the outdoor recreation movement.
