Biodiversity Recovery Plan

The Chicago Wilderness Biodiversity Recovery Plan, published in 1999, is an ambitious blueprint for saving and restoring the rare natural communities of the Chicago region – our prairies, savannahs, woodlands, and wetlands. Green Infrastructure Vision Data Package

The full data package is available for free through the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning at www.cmap.illinois.gov/green-infrastructure.  

The data may also be viewed using The Field Museum's online interactive map (no GIS software required).

 

SWAT Green Infrastructure Mapping Projects

Through the Sustainable Watershed Action Team (SWAT) program, Chicago Wilderness has brought together experts in planning, engineering, storm water management, and other professions to work directly with local officials to map their community's natural resources and identify opportunity areas for implementing green infrastructure strategies.
