Chicago Wilderness Grassroots Task Force
Average citizens - many with no formal training in ecology, others with a great deal of it, all of whom care about the landscape - are critical to conserving and protecting our natural heritage for future generations. To facilitate their work, local volunteers have launched the Chicago Wilderness Grassroots Task Force. The task force is starting on an ambitious agenda to promote on-the-ground habitat restoration and conservation projects, conduct youth outreach and mobilize current and would-be volunteers to take action in support of local nature.
