Many birdwatchers already visit the preserve on a regular basis and we invite them and anyone else interested in becoming a citizen science bird monitor at Nygren Wetland Preserve to attend. Bird observations are valuable to us and this will be a great way to have a direct impact on the management of this wildlife habitat. Oak trees are the dominant tree species at Nygren Wetland and provide the perfect habitat for many types of birds, as well as mammals and insects.

The seminar will be led by Ed Cope, Natural Land Institute’s Restoration Ecologist.
