Forest Playschool Director, Teresa Weed Presents, The Fresh Air Cure: How the Forest Playschool Is Putting Old Ideas to New Uses at North Park Village Nature Center’s Walking Stick Woods.

Jen's Jenson's career took place against a backdrop of accelerated industrialization in Chicago.  His work was inspired by his philosophical belief in "the humanizing power of parks."  Today, a forest grows in the rubble of the open air cabins and gardens in the southeast corner of the sanitarium grounds, and an American Forest School is working to balance the urban and the natural in the lives of Chicago families. Free. Registration required at 312-744-5472. Ages 16 & up.
